A couple of weeks into the Easter season, I find myself asking, “What does it mean to me that Easter happened? How is it not just a flash in my memory but a reality in my life?”
Hope is the virtue of the Cross. It is the grace of Calvary. Mary and John look at the Cross, Jesus suffers the Cross — You who seem far from the victory of justice — but they hope the truth: God is able. God is faithful. God’s salvation shall not tarry.
On this Holy Thursday, a reminder that the Eucharist is food for our escape.
